We presented our breeding, in Ölfushöll last night, 28. april.
Have to admit, bringing into the hall, horses that have never been inside a riding hall, add on music clapping audience, was a bit to much for those young horses and they were stunned.
But for the first time, show, could of have gone worse! Some of the horses, did not show, but little of their talent. Worst affected, was our Töru-Glóð, where the group is greeting the audience, you can see Töru-Glóð, (farthest to the right) looking at all the people, completely astonished.
Riding Keimur, Guðmundur Björgvinsson was in the last event before Kjartansstaðir, had never even seen Keimur, jumped into the saddle and did not have time to prepare the horse and rode straight into the hall and did a very good job!
That is professionalism!
John Kristinn, also had no prior experience with the 5 year old Fiðla, did very well, John Kristinn is a promising young rider.
Viðar Ingólfsson did a good job riding Töfri, which has not been shown since 2006. Both Viðar and Töfri did well, are pro´s.
Sigurður Vignir Matthíasson, did an excellent job, riding Dimmblá, that has changed from a promising 4 gaited horse, to an excellent, and very promising, no speed limited, 5 gaited champion.
Siggi Matt is no stranger to the horses from Kjartansstaðir, starting out with Huginn, which he made a World Champion, then only a teenager, shows his talent. Riding Dimmblá, which reminds him much of Huginn, has the Kjartansstaðir movements, he says, did an excellent job, for us, both riding, and organizing the show.
But in the end, the most phrase, has to go to Matthías Leó and Ingólfur Arnar, who have trained and prepared the horses for the coming events this summer.
One of the most special horses, from our farm is Töfri! But we have an other, horse, on the rise with equal charm.
Töru-Glóð still has to prove herself, but with a trainer, like Matthías Leó, she will, they will still prove me right!!
Thank you all,
