A persistent rumor is going around these days, about a plan to found a limited corporation for ownership of Töfri from Kjartansstaðir, and that his total value is estimated to be 35 million ISK.  11 shares, each for 700,000 ISK, are supposedly sold already.

Þorvaldur Sveinsson at Kjartansstaðir says that this rumor isn't completely without a foundation. The new owner of the horse is the Töfri Society, which will be made official later this week. Þorvaldur didn't wish to confirm how many shares had been sold already, but disclosed that enough had been sold for the time being. He plans to wait and see how the colt presents himself at the Nationals. ”I will continue to be the main owner, so I won't sell more than 24 shares, at least not for now,” said Þorvaldur in a chat with Eiðfaxi.
